REGULATION respecting the Tenure of Land by Aliens in Fanning Island and Washington Island. July 18, 1908.

In the name of His Majesty King Edward VII, &c., &c.
King's Regulation relating to the Proprietorship of Fanning
Island and Washington Island.

No alien may inherit, or otherwise take by representation, or acquire, or hold, any estate or interest whatsoever in the lands of
those islands of the Western Pacific Ocean respectively known as Fanning Island and Washington Island, except with the consent in
writing of His Britannic Majesty's High Commissioner for the Western Pacific previously had and obtained.
2. The provisions of this Regulation shall not prejudice or vary the proprietorship of said islands existing at the date of the coming
into operation thereof, nor prejudice or affect any Treaty rights or obligations acquired or incurred by His Majesty.
Published and exhibited in the office of the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific, this 18th day of July, 1908
