EDUCATION (APPROVED TEACHERS) REGULATIONS

MADE UNDER SECTION 35 OF THE EDUCATION ACT^[1]

1 Title

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Approved Teachers) Regulations.

2 Consent to certificate of approval

No certificate of approval shall be issued under section 25 of the Act without the written consent of the Minister.

3 Effect of certificate of approval

(a) A certificate of approval may be issued subject to such conditions as the Minister may specify.

(b) Where a certificate of approval is issued without conditions, the approval for employment as a teacher shall lapse at the end of the academic year following the year in which the certificate of approval was issued.

(c) Notwithstanding the provisions of this paragraph, no certificate of approval shall remain in force after the second anniversary of the date of issue.
