POST OFFICE (RATES AND FEES) AMENDMENT REGULATION 2010

A Regulation to amend the Post Office Regulations

Title and Commencement

1. This Regulation may be cited as the Post Office (Rates and Fees) Amendment Regulation 2010 and shall come into force on the 28th day after it is published.

Regulation 3 Amended

2. Regulation 3 of the Post Office Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the sentence

"The rates of postage payable for the transmission of postal packets through the post and the supplementary fees in connection therewith shall be as set forth in Appendices A, B, C, and E in the Schedule to these regulations."

(b) and inserting in its place

"The rates of postage payable for the transmission of postal packets through the post and the supplementary fees in connection therewith shall be as set by the Island Council and approved by the Governor."

Regulation 9 Amended

3. Regulation 9 of the Post Office Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the words

• "in Appendix E in the Schedule to these regulations."
  

(b) and inserting in its place

"for the time being by the Island Council and approved by the Governor under regulation 3."

Regulation 28 Amended

4. Regulation 28 of the Post Office Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the words

"out in Appendix E in the Schedule to these regulations"

(b) and inserting in its place

"for the time being by the Island Council and approved by the Governor under regulation 3".

Regulation 29 Amended

5. Regulation 29 of the Post Office Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the words

• "in Appendix E in the Schedule to these regulations"
  

(b) and inserting in its place

"for the time being by the Island Council and approved by the Governor under regulation 3".

Regulation 31 Amended

6. Regulation 31 of the Post Office Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the words

• "in Appendix E in the Schedule to these regulations"

(b) and inserting in its place

• "for the time being by the Island Council and approved by the Governor under regulation 3".
  

Regulation 49 Amended

7. Regulation 49 of the Post Office Regulations is hereby amended by:

(a) omitting the words

• "set out in Appendix E in the Schedule to these regulations"

(b) and inserting in its place

"prescribed for the time being by the Island Council and approved by the Governor under regulation 3".

Schedule Amended

8. Appendices A, B, C and E are hereby repealed.
