INDEPENDENT STATE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA.


AN ACT

entitled

International Bank (Telecommunications) Loan Agreement Ratification Act 1968,

Being an Act to ratify an agreement between the Administration of the former Territory of Papua and New Guinea and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for a loan for the purposes of a telecommunications project.

  1. INTERPRETATION.

In this Act, “the Agreement” means the agreement dated 26 June 1968, a copy of which is set out in the First Schedule.

  1. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT.

The Agreement is approved, and takes effect according to its tenor.

  1. EFFECT ON OTHER LAWS.

The Agreement has the force of law as if contained in this Act, and applies notwithstanding anything in any other law.

  1. PRE-APPROPRIATION OF MONEYS.

All repayments of principal and payments of interest and other charges payable under the Agreement shall be made out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund which, to the necessary extent, is appropriated accordingly.
