INDEPENDENT STATE OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA.
Chapter 302.
ARRANGEMENT OF SECTIONS.
MADE under the Cemeteries Act 1955.
Dated 200 .
The fees to be charged for any matter or thing done under the Act are the fees specified in Schedule 2.
(1) The dimension of the burial allotments into which the cemetery authority may divide a cemetery under Section 11 of the Act is 2,540 mm in length by 1,524 mm in width.
(2) The burial allotments shall be at least 762 mm apart.
(3) The cemetery authority shall cause pathways, not less than 1,219.20 mm in width, to be laid down so that there is access to the head and foot of each allotment.
The prescribed period for the purpose of Section 13(1) of the Act is 25 years.
A certificate of a reservation of a right to burial allotments shall be in Form 1.
Where a burial is carried out in a cemetery, the cemetery authority shall notify the Registration Officer in Form 2.
(1) Where a cemetery authority gives its consent to a burial in land the subject of a licence under Section 5 of the Act, it shall notify the Registration Officer in Form 3.
(2) The licensee shall notify the Registration Officer in Form 4 of a burial carried out in land the subject of a licence under Section 5 of the Act.
