PLANT QUARANTINE AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2007

PURSUANT to Section 20 of the Agriculture Quarantine Act 1985 Cabinet makes the following Regulations:

1. Title

These Regulations may be cited as the Plant Quarantine Amendment Regulations 2007.

2. Amendment

The Agriculture Regulations 1985 are amended by removing Regulation 26(2) and replacing it with the following:

"26(2) All aircraft arriving at Niue from a country infested by Rhinocerous beetle may only land before sunset, except:

a) where an aircraft is granted permission by the Director, who in granting permission may require certain conditions to be met before arrival; or

b) in the case of an emergency."
