SUPPRESSION OF IMMORALITY ORDINANCE 1919
1919, No.14
An Ordinance for the suppression of immorality in Niue (25 November 1919).
1. Short Title - This Ordinance may be cited as the Suppression of Immorality Ordinance 1919.
2. Adultery with married man - A single woman convicted adultery with a married man shall be liable to a fine not exceeding ten pounds (£10).
3. Scandalous conduct -Unmarried persons living together openly as man and wife to the scandal of the community shall be liable to a fine not exceeding
five pounds (£5).
4. Persons suffering from venereal disease - Any person convicted of an act of sexual intercourse while suffering from venereal disease shall be liable to a fine not exceeding
ten pounds (£10).
5. Niuean woman found on board ship - Any [Niuean] woman found on board a Vessel lying at anchor and not being in possession of a pass from the Resident Commissioner
shall be liable to a fine not exceeding five pounds (£5).
[The word "Niuean" was substituted for the word "Native" by the Niue Act 1966.]
