AN ACT
to amend the Civil List Act 1999
1. Short title
(1) This Act may be cited as the Civil List Amendment Act 2001.
2. Commencement
(1) This Act is deemed to have commenced on 1st July 2001.
3. Interpretation
(1) In this Act –
"the principle Act" means the Civil List Act 1999
"Select Committee" means a committee that is appointed by the Assembly that consists of Members.
"Select Committee Member" means a Member of a Select Committee.
4. Schedule of principal Act amended
(1) Part 1 - Remuneration table of the Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by repealing the table and substituting the following table:

| Premier | $59 032.00 a year |
| Minister | $38,170.00 a year |
| Speaker | $17,500.00 a year |
| Member | $14,300.00 a year |
(2) Part 2 - Allowances table of the Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended by adding the following to the table:
| Type of Allowance | Amount of allowance |
| Select Committee Member's Allowance Payable to a Select Committee Member who attends Select Committee meetings. | For meeting outside of normal working hours $70.00 per day For meetings between 8:30am -12:30pm during normal working hours $30.00 per day. For meetings during normal working hours between 8:30am and 4:00pm and beyond $50.00 per meeting |
| Speaker's Allowance Payable to the Speaker to cover costs incurred in relation to official duties and representation at functions. | $1,000 a year. |
