Civil Aviation Authority of the Fiji Islands (Amendment) Decree 2011

CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THE FIJI ISLANDS (AMENDMENT) DECREE 2011
(DECREE No. 31 of 2011)

IN exercise of the powers vested in me as the President of the Republic of Fiji and the Commander in Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces by virtue of the Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 2009, I hereby make the following Decree -

Short title and commencement

1. This Decree may be cited as the Civil Aviation Authority of the Fiji Islands (Amendment) Decree 2011 and deemed to have come into effect on 11th May, 2011.

Section 1 amended

2. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Fiji Islands Act [Cap. 174A] ("the Act") is amended by deleting section 1 and substituting -

"Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji Act."

Consequential amendments

3. - (1) The Act and all subsidiary laws made under the Act are amended by deleting the words "the Fiji Islands" wherever it appears and substituting "Fiji".

(2) All written laws, including any Acts, subsidiary laws, Proclamations, Promulgations and Decrees are amended by deleting the words "Civil Aviation Authority of the Fiji Islands" wherever it appears and substituting "Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji" unless the context otherwise requires.

(3) All State documents, of any nature whatsoever, are consequentially amended by deleting the words "Civil Aviation Authority of the Fiji Islands" wherever it appears and substituting "Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji", unless the context otherwise requires.
