An Act to provide that certain enactments of the Parliament of New Zealand shall extend to the Cook Islands as part of the law of the Cook Islands

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislative Assembly of the Cook Islands in Session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1. Short Title - This Act may be cited as the New Zealand Laws Act 1969.
2. New Zealand Acts extended to the Cook Islands - The Acts of the Parliament of New Zealand specified in the First Schedule to this Act are hereby declared to extend to the Cook Islands as part of the law of the Cook Islands.
3. New Zealand regulations and orders extended to the Cook Islands - The regulations and orders specified in the Second Schedule of this Act are hereby declared to extend to the Cook Islands as part of the law of the Cook Islands.
4. Telephone Regulations 1968 extended to Cook Islands with amendments - The New Zealand Telephone Regulations 1968 (Statutory Regulations Serial No.1968/234) are hereby declared to extend to the Cook Islands as part of the law of the Cook Islands with the following amendments-
(a) Omit paragraphs (c) and (d) of regulations 22;
(b) Omit regulations 23 to 35 (both inclusive);
(c) Omit regulations 44 to 48 both inclusive);
(d) Omit the words "in the First Schedule hereto" from regulation 72;
(e) Omit the words "in the First Schedule hereto" from regulation 74;
(f) Omit the words "in the First Schedule hereto" from regulation 75;
(g) Omit regulations 78 to 81 (both inclusive);
(h) Omit the words "in Part 6 of the First Schedule hereto" from regulation 103;
(i) Omit regulation 104;
(j) Omit regulations 137 to 155 (both inclusive);
(k) Omit regulation 156 and substitute the following regulation:
"156. Charges - All charges for telephone and auxiliary services and miscellaneous equipment shall be as prescribed from time to time by the Minister-in-Charge of the Post Office."
(l) Omit regulation 158;
(m) Omit the First Schedule.

The International Finance Agreements Amendment Act 1968 is administered in the Treasury.
The Sea Carriage of Goods Amendment Act 1968 is administered in the Justice Department.
The Trustee Amendment Act 1968 is administered in the Justice Department.
The Post Office Amendment Act 1968 is administered in the Works and Communications Department.
The Ministry of Transport Act 1968 is administered in the Justice Department.
The Swaziland Act 1968 is administered in the Justice Department.
The Property Law Amendment Act 1968 is administered in the Justice Department.
The Superannuation Amendment Act 1969 is administered in the Public Service Commission.
